I am a female up and coming rap artist/model from the Madison, Wisconsin area that was contacted by this wanna be scam record label Bossland Records/Northland Records via Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/youngsixnorthlandrecords) about signing with them. I thought they were legit until the day I went to the company/office in his apartment and the owner/slash main artist Dyshaun McDaniels (-AkA- Siix) approached me with all this B.S. that I had to pay him some money to get started with them and have sex with him just to get started and to be apart of his crew, gang or whatever. This was sad and unbelievable as I only wanted to try and get my music out and be seen and heard. Women trying to make it in the music business should not have to be treated this way to make it. Not to mention that I found out that they are a bunch of gang bangers and thugs which I should have seen by just looking at the Myspace page with him throwing up gang signs. (Not Being Smart)
I want to make sure that everyone knows about this company and their lies as I hope that no one will have to deal with what I just went through. Ladies please don't pay them any money and please don't believe you have to have sex with anyone to make it in the music business especially not them. If anyone has any suggestions on how to deal with this and spread the word please let me know... This was unfair and they are a complete scam and no one should be treated like this.
