Purcahsed two tickets for June 24,2017 - Marlins and Cubs game. Paid $79.99 per seats was given $30 seats - Called on yesterday(June 28) to complaint to the company - spoke with two of the RUDEST people in customer serivce. I was asked "Why did you wait two days after the event" to complain. Well, the number was NOT on the tickets or I would have call from the ball park- Secondly, I had to searching through my emails(from March) to find customer service number. Was told that the ticketholder set the price of the seats. This is the FIRST I heard that I was purchasing tickets from a ticket holder. I was under the IMPRESSION that I was talking with someone from the Marlin office. IM AM PISSED!

..that I am not a Rocket Scientist.  The POINT was that you don't have to BE one to make sure you are using the right number.  So the Marlins website was down for hours but you got the number....from the website...and it was actually the number of a ticket broker who overcharged you (you said in your original report that you were UNDER THE IMPRESSION that you were talking to the Marlins?)

Look, you don't have to lash out at me because you were stupid.  I didn't tell you to buy from a third-party.  If you actually got that number from the Marlins website (I sincerely doubt it) you have legitimate cause for complaint.  But if you are just weaving this tale of websites down for hours, you are even sadder than I thought.  Good luck in the future.

Sincerely, Not a Rocket Scientist but an Informed Consumer who knows how to use the internet.

Yes, I DID go on the website. Tried several times and the website was DOWN. Had a friend try several hours later. Website was still down. 2017 pretty much everything is done online(NO BRAINER). Got the number from the website and call/purchased my tickets. So, perhaps you should check your website before calling me STUPID. Clearly, you ARE NOT A ROCKET SCIENTIST EITHER. Great customer service by the way(sarcastic).

Sorry, but.....

It's the easiest thing in the world to find the Marlins Ticket phone # on the official website, or to just buy the tickets on the site and print them up at home.  You thought you were calling the Marlins but you were calling a ticket broker instead- sorry, but it's hard to see how someone could make a mistake like that unless they simply weren't paying attention when they looked up the numbers.  You "were under the impression" you were talking to the Marlins because you simply didn't do the simplest of things before calling.

Next time, buy your tickets online from Floridamarlins.com, or call the number provided by the Marlins.  This isn't rocket science.  You paid a Stupid Tax and should just learn from your experience.  Yes, this is a ripoff, but one you jumped into with both feet and your eyes wide open.
