DO NOT BUY IR LEASE FROM BRATTLEBORO SUBARU-CROOKS! Purchased resale auto 9/29/18 but preferred lease new. Paid $2500 down and $567 for Simonize. Returned resale auto 9/30/18 and leased 2018 Forrester 9/30/2018 which had just arrived. Had driven 440 miles and did switch. Did make verbal contract but did not carefully read new lease contract. Expected $3067 would be credited from first purchase. Gave check # 271 $2500 down payment for lease vehicle. Received call next day that the check did not clear. Gave Brattleboro Subaru credit card # in exchange for the "supposed” bounced check for $2500 down for lease. Now they have actually not refunded the original $3067 for canceled sale, the check never bounced per my bank and cleared on 10/12018, the $2500 credit card was also processed. SO NOW they have charged me $8067 for what should have been a $2500 lease agreement. ALSO I was charged $267.09 for a TANK of GAS, and charged for Keyless starter which my car is not equipped with. SUBARU is now investigating this as FRAUD! ALSO Chase(my bank) is is investigating for FRAUD! BITH the Sales Managrr and Finance manager are claiming this was my intention- NEVER! I will succeed in recovering my money BUT DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!!!!
