I went looking for a dog as a gift for my father's birthday. Prices were not listed, so I asked the price of the dog I was interested in. They said they had to go in the back to check the price because each dog is priced differently. I was told the price was $2400 for the dog (Pekingese Beagle). I said thank you but I can't afford the dog and then the sales rep said they had a "PAYMENT PLAN". (This was the first lie. You find out later that it's actually a lease. Of course they don't explain this to you).

There was a sign on the wall in the store that said you can return the dog for any reason within 72 hours. With that being read, I filled out the paperwork for credit check and paid the deposit. When I returned to the store the next day, because my Dad didn't want that dog, I was told that if I returned the dog I would have to pay about $1200 (half the price of the dog).

I literally had the puppy for less than 24 hours. I said "you didn't say that yesterday". She then told me that the info was in the paperwork that I signed. I pulled out my phone and asked them to show me. They flipped through the pages and ZOOMED IN on a paragraph. They put it in the "fine print" of the contract and literally rush you to sign everything, so you don't read the small font.

There were so many things to sign and initial. They went on to say it was not their responsibility to explain that part and it's not their fault if I did not read each section very carefully it. My father, who accompanied me back to the store that day, said we are not paying $1200 for a dog we had less than 24 hours and this is something you did not inform my daughter about. This is such important information.

It should be posted and explained thoroughly, just as all contracts should be explained and gone over. The store then threatened to call to POLICE if we left the puppy there. We are still currently battling with them. This place is a COMPLETE SCAM with no protection for the customer. Really just a terrible way to bait and switch people looking for a puppy. Very sorry I ever walked through the door.
