Brenda Meadors, Puppy Broker Sold me a sick, dying puppy and refused to reimburse me for medical expenses Ripoff Oklahoma City Oklahoma

About 4 months ago, I purchased a 9 week old maltese puppy from nextdaypets.com, through a listing from a broker named Brenda Meadors. I did not know she was a "broker" at the time, she made it seem like she was the actual breeder, but she buys puppies from breeders (so she says, but i believe from puppy mills) and then resells them at a higher price.

The puppy was shipped from Oklahoma to me in NJ via plane, i picked him up from the airport. Within 2 days, he was rushed to the emergency clinic because he was vomiting repeatedly... it turned out he had Parvovirus, Tapeworms, and Fleas! I immediately had to hospitalize him, he fought for 5 days and passed away :( The broker refunded me my money for the puppy but refused to pay any of the medical bills because she said it was "my choice" to hospitalize him! She told me to ship him back-so heartless! But i refused to do that, and went ahead with the treatment. I totaled over $2,000 in medical expenses, not to mention the pain and suffering that my boyfriend and I endured. It was so painful seeing this innocent puppy suffer.

The money she did refund to me I used to purchase a new puppy-so this did not help towards the medical expenses at all! I am hoping to warn people about her and her inhumane practices-i also think she should reimburse me for these out of pocket expenses-I thought i was getting a healthy puppy!

I recently found out through a forum on nextdaypets.com where she sells puppies, that another person was sent a puppy who had parasites. So it looks like she is still getting away with what she is doing!
