Brenda Meadors - puppyfind.com Ripoff Sold me a Maltese pup that she didn't have! Complete scammer! Oklahoma City Oklahoma

I fell in love with the picture of this beautiful AKC Maltese puppy on puppyfind.com that was advertised by Brenda Meadors. After several emails & phone calls, I paid the full-amount including shipping to her husband, Mark's PayPal account. The correspondence continued & the ship date was set. When I picked the puppy up at the airport- it was definitely not the puppy I had purchased. Within hours- this baby was deathly sick. After countless visits to the vets & in the middle of the night emergency hosp. trips- we had over 2000.00 additional invested in trying to save this pup, along with the fears & emotions that naturally happen when you care for animals.

After much investigating, I found out that Brenda bought this puppy from an innocent breeder under the false pretense that it was a birthday present for her daughter. She then managed to steal & falsify a shipping & State health inspection report. Delta Airlines handled the shipping, & the clerk admitted to not checking the form for verification since he knew Brenda from frequent shippings. This puppy was so tiny- she never should have been shipped from Ok. to Ohio- especially without the proper food & water. She not only suffered from hypoglycemia, but a list a mile long of organ disfunctions resulted due to this & other related problems.

When confronted- Brenda confessed she was a liar & a scammer- tried to justify by telling me she was trying to pay for her 2 children to participate in extra curricular activities! After I threatend to expose her- she used an attorney that showed absolutely no professionalism to threaten me- the victim! According to him- my only option was to ship the puppy back in order to receive a partial refund (no med. costs considered). As sick as this puppy was, no Vet. would ever give her a passing health & shipping release. Personally, I would never send this puppy back to a person that was so greedy & dishonest that it put an innocent puppy & family at risk. There was absolutely no remorse- besides on being confronted.

I was able to track the original breeder (who lived 80 miles away from OK City)- & the pain she felt to know that her "baby" had suffered all this because of Brenda Meadors definitely made her a victim also. After countless medical tests & medications,along with our unwavering hope & love for this little girl- she has survived. But, not without paying a hefty price the rest of her life. She will always be on medications & monitored as a result of her "Brenda Meadors Experience". The puppy that we had intended to use as our AKC Show dog hopeful is barely 3 lbs. Too small to show,too small to breed & too much time & money invested to ever part with her. I'm amazed she survived- & even more amazed that Brenda would continue to lie, cheat & steal just to make a quick dollar at the expense of puppies & their new families. I truly hope God reserves a special spot in Hell for people like her. She's a habitual liar- & needs to be stopped. I can't help but wonder how she covers all this up to her son & daughter( both teens)- what a great example she's setting for them. If the old saying, "What goes around, comes around"-has any truth to it- she's doomed. God help her!
