I will make this brief and precise. i went to the law firm for justice and wound up with another criminal to deal with . After paying over $6000 to file paperwork, only to be sent in circles ("he is in a meeting) by his charmed assistant , RHIA.
You would think after talking to MR BRIAN FIGEROUX himself you were in concerned hands, with the immigration issues you had to deal with at hand.
Well I found out two warnings later and $6000 after that this "LAW FIRM" of course is a business and nothing else. They do not represent the immigrant community by any means ... mark my words ...or you will regret it....(only when you are a new client with fresh money to blow and blindfolds on you are of valued importance for the shortlived five minute CONSULTATION).
I will follow up with the media , something must be done !

The Law Firm of Figeroux & Associates prides itself on being a professional and client-friendly firm. We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the service provided. We do, however provide different avenues to our clients to express their satisfaction as well as dissatisfaction. Sadly, none of these avenues were explored by the writer of the complaint here. It seems to be a blatant attempt to smear the name of an attorney and law firm that works tirelessly for immigrants. If a client feels they have been “ripped off” there is the proper process through the Bar Association, not going on a website and making inaccurate statements.
A report was submitted to Ripoff Report regarding an alleged disservice by Figeroux and Associates on July 13, 2009. In that report the Law Firm was its principal partner Brian Figeroux was labeled as criminal. What crime was alleged committed was never identified. The disgruntled person stated that he/she paid $6,000 for papers to be filed and was informed that Mr. Figeroux was in a meeting and that they were running around in “circles”. The allegations are vague to say the least. Additionally, is it not reasonable that an Attorney would be in a meeting when a client comes into office and therefore the client may have to wait or see someone else?
It is further unclear what “two warnings” this person is referring to. Figeroux and Associates is a law firm that offers a range of services to the immigrant and other communities including Personal Injury, Immigration, Bankruptcy, Matrimonial Matters, Real Estate and Wills and Probate. Consultations do not last for 5 minutes. Additionally, potential clients are encouraged to schedule appointments for free follow-up consultations, should they need additional information, advice or legal opinion, or have questions within 30 days of their initial consultation.
The allegations in this report are defamatory, vague and wholly untrue.

If this report or complaint was in fact genuine and with merit, there does exist, an established effective procedure for aggrieved clients in New York City. Clients who have a bona fide complaint against an attorney they retained, may file a grievance report with the appropriate grievance committee.
