I wanted to share my experience in order to warn any one that is posting their apartment on this website for a sublease. I also posted my unit and this person (Brian Skinner) reached out to me. I went ahead and signed a short term agreement with him (all in good faith). I should have been more careful and strict in the process. He has continued to evade paying me rent, he lied that he attempted to wire me money and then 'sent' me check on several occasions which he did not.
He claimed that due to the government shut down last month could be the cause of the delay in me received said payments. Even weeks after I received nothing, he claimed that he had pneumonia and was forcefully admitted to the hospital went he went for check up. He claimed that his "business account" Robert would send me a check. This said accountant also reach out to me on several occasions pretending as if he was actually sending me checks and wire transfers.
He even went on to try and accuse my family members of possibly stealing from the "checks" from me. When he comes to visit your apartment, he will come there either driving a Buick SUV/ Cadillac SUV/ Silver Chevy Malibu. It has been a battle getting him out, he knows the law regarding a situation such as this and is taking advantage of it. He refuses to move out and is still occupying the space.
If you ever encounter please make sure to run. Watch out for this man, he will tell you that he owns a property/ residential management company, he moved from South Carolina and his wife (Mica) is 7/8 months pregnant. Please Please Please be vigilant, if this man approaches you stay away. He is a professional at this and knows how to play you. Make sure you run background checks on people, make sure you get all their information, email, license number, whatever you can use to track them.

I want to apologize on my behalf for what had happened back in February.. I was not aware of the things Brian and Robert were actually doing. I’m currently separated and going through a divorce due to them also putting me in debt and finding out my whole marriage was a lie as well as the Man I married..
I stayed long enough to get my pregnancy over with and make sure our daughter was healthy. I no longer have contact with those individuals right now and wish I never have to again. He to told me he sent out a check..
he told me many lies because I’d question what was going on and why he was making things so hard where we lived. I hope you didn’t face as many damages financially as I have.
