From the beginning, I should have known something was wrong.  I don't have very good credit so after applying through credityes.com, they referred me to Bridge City Auto Sales in Portland, OR.  When I got there, there were only a couple of cars that I could get into that fit what I wanted.  I settled on a Land Rover and the paperwork was started....almost 3 hours later, it was finally finished (even though we were told it would take about 20 minutes).  While test driving the car, I noticed the SRS light was on, so it was in the contract that would be fixed.  I can't believe the hassles of trying to get the car into the shop.  Steve, the manager at Bridge City has to be the rudest, most unprofessional person I have worked with.  I was told I would have to take the car to AutoTown Buick, their parent company to have it fixed.  Ok, I thought, but then the issues began.  I was told they were open Monday - Saturday, only to learn that the person who works on Landrovers doesn't work on Saturday so I'd have to figure out a way to bring it during the week.  Well, because of the distance from the shop to my work, that was not possible, plus the fact that I would now have to leave the car there with no transportation.  Finally, after 2 weeks of being hassled and told basically to figure it out, and after writing negative reviews on the internet about them, they agreed to loan me a car while mine was fixed.  In the mean time, the service engine light had come on so the car wouldn't go through Emissions.  They legally had to fix that.  So a bit over a week later, I got my car back.  Took it through emissions and literally a block later, the service engine light came on.  I called and was basically told too bad, it passed emissions.  I had purchased an extended warranty on the car for $2700 for two years, and thank goodness for that!  1 week later, the transmissioin went out, so back in the shop it went, the service manager, Chris at Autotown is the only one who is even remotely customer service oriented.  He arranged a rental car and while the tranny was being fixed (they had the car for 15 days and put a "used" transmission in it) and fixed the service engine light.  All good, or so I thought, 10 days later, the water pump blew, so another $100 and I finally have it back.  Hopefully for good this time.

So, the other thing, when I signed my contract (luckily the finance company saw this), Bridge City had added $399 for "SafeGuard".  I called and questioned this and told them I wanted the charge taken off, I told them I have no clue what it is, wasn't informed of it and was not paying it.  They assured me I signed a paper agreeing to it and so I looked through my papers and nothing at all addressed it.  So, they finally took the charge off and had me come in to sign a new contract.  When I was there, I asked to see the paper I had signed and they told me "don't worry about it, we are removing the charge".  Then, the kbb price they had shown me turned out to be a price that included options not on the car at all, like a tow package, rear air/heat controls, etc.  The actual value of the vehicle is almost $3000 less than I paid for it.  To say the least I am not happy and will be working with an attorney to see what I can do to get the amount I paid fixed.  I don't mind paying for the value of a car, but I do mind paying for things that aren't included.

All in all, the only good experience has been the shop at the parent company AutoTown Buick.  The rest of the experience has been horrible and I am out so much money on this.  I should have just kept my mini van, it was paid for and dependable!
