Bridget Dougherty - Horse Trainer Paid for lessons and training, but did not receive. Refused refund. Rocky Ridge Maryland

From December 2012 to April 2013, we employed Bridget Dougherty for 4 months training on our Quarter Horse. During this time, we also employed her for 2 months training on another horse of ours. Included with the training fee paid is 2 lessons per month, per horse to show us how to ride what they were trained to do. Since I was involved with another project, and my wife was injured during a lesson, when one of the horses that Bridget was training bolted and ran her into a fence during a lesson, it was verbally agreed with Bridget to keep training the horses, and we will catch up on the lessons when we were able to do so.

Through a disagreement with Bridget on another unrelated issue, which Bridget claimed we disrespected her, she has refused to give us the lessons we paid for, or even show us what our horses have been trained to do.

So we we are left with with 2 horses with a total of 6 months paid training, that Bridget refuses to show us what they are trained to do.

We now have to seek and pay an outside trainer to evaluate what our horses are trained to do, and teach us how to ride them.

Bridget has refused to give us 10 lessons that were paid for, valued at $400, or is willing to refund.

Our experience with Bridget Dougherty has been that she is very young and stubborn, and does not have the morals to conduct business in a reputable manner.

It is for this reason that we can not recommend Bridget Dougherty. If you are looking for someone to train your horse, I would look elsewhere.
