Briefings Media Group a company I had previously successfully done business with in the past has become a very sour company I guess do to the current economic recession.

They sent me two books that I did not want.  I informed them that I did not want them.  They want to charge for these books.  We have no contract stating that my company owes them money.  I originally attempted to send them back right away, however the phone representative informed my Executive Assistant that they would refuse them.  After finding this out I still had my Executive Assistant send them back, the items were unopened, the items had never been used and yet this company wants to received payment.

What sort of company wants to receive payment for a service that the customer never used and did not want?  Especially considering i had previously done business with them and would have done business in the future had this terrible incident not occured.  If you ever get any calls from Briefings Media Group hang up and run or they may mail you some information you don't want and ask that you pay for it.

For what they are trying to do normal business practice would have been that I had signed an agreement or I provide them a credit card authorizing payment later if this was a legitimate transaction.  However, it is not and apparently they have a very illegitimate business model across the board.
