Brightleaf Power Defective Solar System Montrose Colorado

We made a large donation a few years ago to support installation at the Phoenix Dream Center of a solar energy collection system manufactured by BrightLeaf Power (of Montrose, CO) and facilitated by the RP Companies (of Phoenix).     These companies claimed high performance, automation, and reliability of their system.  They also claimed a large reduction in the Dream Center's energy costs for 20 years or more into the future.

The installation was completed in early 2014,  but the companies struggled to bring the system into operation thru 2015.  In early 2016, Brightleaf Power filed for bankruptcy and reorganized under Chapter 11.   Under their plan, most employers were let go, although their management still continues to receive exhorbitant salaries.   The Phoenix Dream Center has since been left with a non-functioning system which saves it no energy costs, and which most feel is an eyesore for the residents and community.

Brightleaf Technologies Inc. (the owner of Brightleaf Power) continues to promote the reliability and high performance of their systems on their website @ brightleafpower.com .     The have also created a new entity @ carpesolar.com that now also makes similar claims.    Based on our experience at the Phoenix Dream center,   we strongly caution other consumers with regard to the integrity of these companies and the validity of their claims.

An image of some collectors from the non-functioning system at the PDC are attached.    One can see that the collectors are pointing in random directions,   rather than being directed to all face and follow the sun.
