Brite Financial /Car Rite Taylor Michigan Failed to comply with federal Fair credit act at all three bereaus Madison Heights Michigan

I leased my vehicle w/ Brite Financial through Car Rite Taylor Michigan located on Telegraph Rd. I was never late on my payments and I am still making timely payments with my vehicle being in repair due to a theft. My complaint is that after a year of on time payments, my veh was placed in auction after it was stolen!! I made a temporary move so I dropped my insurance down to the basic insurance that Brite provides. Well 7 months after my move my veh was stolen and recovered in Detroit. I made Brite Financial aware that the veh was being used as evidence and that there was an hold on the car while in impound. Once the hold was lifted I went to pick the car up 2 days after, only to find out Brite had already picked it up. You’d think my headache would have started with the theft but no it was after Brite picked my car up and sent it to three different impounds where it ended up in Auction prepared for sale!! How do you attempt to sell a car that is still in contract? Well it’s because they listed my car as a repo and reported it to ALL three credit bereaus as such. Did i mention i hadn’t been late on any payment for this vehicle?? Now after locating my vehicle, and notifying the company they’ve made an error on my credit and them acknowledging the error and being apologetic even towing the car to the repair shop of my choice at no charge from Lansing back to Royal Oak, Mi that’s 100 miles free of charge due to their error. Might I add it still took 3 weeks to do this. In the midst of all this, my credit took a plunge of 76 points due to the negligence in reporting inaccurately resulting in also defamation of my character. Finally, 31 days after their false report they changed my report from repo to redeemed repo. STILL inaccurate, I’ve attempted to contact their compliance department multiple times I’ve yet to receive a call back,,, I’ve been told their is no legal department and no one has at minimum a email for the CEO of this company. I’ve recently contacted two attorneys who say this is surely breach of contract and cause of fine from the credit bereaus. This company is a joke and they are ran as so. They don’t expect to build there consumers or even come across consumers who have educated themselves on properly building credit. Never purchase through BriteFinancial the future there is Dark!
