Broadway Photo Broadway Photo, deceptive sales practices, bait and switch - Grey Market Imports Brooklyn New York

Like many others before me, I had a very bad experience with Broadway Photo. While I have not been charged (yet), we did miss out on having a new video camera for our sons birth and the holidays this year. I was directed to Broadway Photo from a low price search engine "everyprice.com".

There, Broadway photo is listed as a "trusted Seller" and has over 5000 mostly positive reviews. I now suspect most, if not all of the reviews are generated by Broadway Photo themselves. Our experience has been the same as all the others reported here. A very low advertised price is then augmented by persistent, misleading and aggressive up-selling. If you don't acquiesce to there up selling, you get an e-mail saying the unit is back ordered with no ship date in sight. This despite the fact that sales people and their website will tell you the unit is in stock.

And if you are (un) lucky enough to get a product from them it will most likely be a grey market import with no english manual or US 110 power supply.

Stay away from this boiler room operation at all costs.
