Broadway Camera Electronics strikes again 1550 Broadway, New York, New York

Went to B&H in NYC but they were close on that Saturday. Since I was leaving NYC on the Sunday am, I went on Broadway looking for my Sigma wide angle 12-24 or 10-20. I stopped at Broadway Camera Electronic. I didn't had my camera Canon 400D, I made the mistake of not looking at the lens thoroughly and I didn't check the box (it was kept very far from me) nor the lens.

I was busy negotiating with them since the indicated price was just crazy. I ended up getting a 17-35 plus 2 cheap filter for 550$. Went back 2 hrs after to change the lens telling them the mistake, the 'salesperson" already left, the manager told me it was no problem and to comeback to speak to the "salesperson" the next day since the wharehouse was close, went back the next day, they told me to comeback in the afternoon, I was leaving NYC. It is now obvious I'm dealing with professional con, reading the other reports.

I called the next day and the saleperson told me that it would be 899$ for the wide angle and he could take the other lens back. I cannot beleive I was ripedoff that way and now they are trying to get more money out of me. The Sigma 17-35 goes for 400$ max and each filter 15$. The manufacturer suggested retail price (probably price sticker they do themselves) was 899$ and each filter 89$, what a joke! I will let go this error of mine and follow my first idea to get the wide angle at B&H.
