Brookdale Senior Living in Hemet The hiring manager Karen Roper is a bigot! I am not race bating or pulling the card but it is what it is... For instance, she is bias when calling a person for an interview. When she isn't sure what race you are, she will call and hear your voice on the a Racially profiled me and changed my job! Hemet California

 I don't believe I assassinated anyone's character. I exercise my freedom of speech by letting others know what I believed to be wrong. It has been six months since I have contacted Brookdale. This past week I spoke with one of the assistant directors who informed me that I wrote this report against one of her nurses at the facility. I contacted her about a position I applied for recently. Anyways, I finally got to speak to a hiring superior "The Assistant Director" and she was polite in her tone of voice as well as attitude. She even apologize to me for having the wrong impression of the Senior Living Facility. I explained why I wrote the report. I did feel there was some bias in me getting a coordinator position verses caregiver at the time but it has been six months so those feelings are hard to come by again; however, the director explained to me after having a recent conversation with her, I appeared more qualified in a care giver position because of my experiences.

I feel that is true ;however, I am a coordinator and activities representative for the Mormon church plus I hold a B. S Degree in Healthcare Administration. Anyways, I never had the opportunity to interview for position. I admit we kept missing each other and I know I wrote what I wrote down because of how I was treated by the person during that time who took my phone call. To make a long story short, I apologize for writing down discrimination in haste but I will say and end with this.... I find it odd how the director knows I was the one who wrote the report and made it clear over the phone. I don't believe they intended to hire me and I am also aware that our future business affiliation may have been severed because of the report I made. I don't feel as though I intended to kill someone's character either. I feel like the truth will stand when nothing else will and the truth in my view tells me that Brookdale like most companies in America need to be fair and honest in their hiring practices. Don't stop there! Treat your employees like human beings not like folks you have to hire or pretend to like so you won't get sued.

By the way, I have no intentions in suing but telling what I feel to be true. I don't think I should be judged or looked over for a position because I wrote this report. I think I was right because of the conversation and how things went down. I can't make anyone like me or do the moral deeds that comes from above and with a pure heart, which many folks sadly lack these days. I will move on from you Brookdale. God Bless You all....he who sits on high knows the truth....... whether I am wrong or whether you guys just don't get it or unaware! I apologize for the misunderstanding. I can't erase this report without calling these people and truthfully, I wrote it because it is what it is. And finally to the person who stated you can't discriminate based on a persons voice is dead wrong!!! It has been proven people of all walks of life have done it in various situations: Landlords, Employers and many others. I am not paranoid or using discrimination as a crutch. It is real and with this new generation of people being raised able to legally get away with it. But no one gets away with anything because the good book says "what is done in the dark comes to the light." You can dispute that all you want but eventually time and events will tell it all!

This report is a joke - how would the person know your ethnicity by your voice??? I suggest you get REAL proof about racism before you start spewing it. I have applied for jobs, talked to the person, played phone tag and never heard back from them.  Should I scream Racism?? No
