Brooke Sloan Properties W. Mark Sanders, Stole $3,395.00 from us on the pretense that we were able to purchase a home through them. Tampa, Florida

After paying $50 (on our debit card) to Brooke Sloan Properties for a credit report on both of us, and told that for 10 months they would monitor our credit for a cost of $39 per month.  This would be credited back to us after the ten months on the home purchase paperwork. 

We were contacted by Emily Perez to tell us that our credit was too good for the lease purchase plan but we could buy a home right away as soon as we picked one out.  We were living in another state and made the trip down to Tampa to meet with them.  I was asked for a check for the $395 up front and then we were sent to the city where we wanted to be to meet with a realtor there.  This realtor took us to places she wanted to sell to us and we finally said look there is only two houses we want to see.  Of the two we decided on the one.  We were told not to do any paperwork with the realtor that we needed to come back to Brooke Sloan's office the following morning to do the paperwork.  We were then asked for a check made out to the title co. for $4000.  We were told by Gina Debbs, Liz Perez both licensed realtors and Mark Sanders that they would be in touch.  This was in mid February.  We told them we had to move by March 31, 2010 because of jobs.  Gina Debbs assured us that we would be in our home by that date.  Emails passed back and forth between us and each time I would ask how things were going.  At one point she called me and said to void the check for $4000 and wait for a package from her.  When we received the package we were instructed to send $3000 to Gorilla Capital in Eugene, Oregon.

We did this immediately and sent it out by overnight mail as she requested.  The emails continued and we were told this takes time.  We are trying to get your closing cost into the financing.  A few days later I was informed by Gina Debbs that they were changing financing companies but all was good.  I again mentioned that we had to be there by the 31st of March.  I spoke with her the day before and told her all was packed and movers were due next morning.  I asked where the closing would be, I was told at the house.  They would meet us there to close the deal.  Well, we arrived approximately 1800 hrs. and could not get an answer from their office.  We figured it would be the next day.  April 1st.  Called and was told by Gina Debbs that she had no information to give to us.  I called on April 2 which was Good Friday and was told by Gina Debbs that since it is Easter Friday there is no one available until Monday.  We were homeless....On Monday morning we got to their office in Tampa met by Gina Debbs only to tell us she had no answers for us.  At that point we said well let's just cancel this as we are homeless, have no where to go, no money nothing.  She said it would be 30 days before we would get our money back.  Needless to say we were ripped off the total sum of $3,395.00 and to date have not received any money back whatsoever.
