Brooklyn Performance Research Sent a payroll check but I have been retired for a number of years Philadelphia Pennsylvania

 Received a payroll check for $1,876.00 from a Brooklyn Performance Research and the check noted that their administrative offices were located at 399 Market St. Philadelphia, PA 19106. The check was drawn on The Bank of New York Mellon Philadelphia, PA. I had no idea what this was for and could not locate / identify a company with that name. I've been retired for a number of years so began to question if this was a scam. I also checked the address on the check and once again came up with nothing to identify this company. Read another rip-off report dated 2011 that gave similar info / data such as the address and the bank but a different company name. Already spent too much time looking into this and assume it is a scam.
