I also received a letter with 2 checks with it today in the mail. It only had one day left to activate the claim. I did call and was told to cash the smaller of the two checks, $1560.21, and then call back to get instructions as to faxing in the form and then they would provide the instructions to get the larger check for $10520.28 cashed. I wondered if those who called the Bank listed on the check called the toll-free number on the check or a phone number listed online for the Bank branch office in Reno, NV? I will call the Reno Office for Bank of the West tomorrow and see if anything about the check is real just to validate these are fraud and have them turned over to the proper authorities.

If it is too good to be true - it probably is.
