Bryan College Bryan University I would not reccommend to my worst enemy, complete ripoff!! They changed their name to University but they are no where close! Topeka, Kansas

I have not been the best student, so I was not able to attend normal universities or colleges in my town. After contemplating for quite a while what I should do to get out of dead end jobs.

I decided to listen to a tv commercial that was ALWAYS on early morning hours when I could not sleep. Bryan college was also close to home. Plus, I figured it could get me out of my current dead end job and get me a temporary career. They offer associates programs, so I was excited this place would accept me regardless of my past grades and if I did good, I could possibly transfer to a different university for my bachelor's.

I guess I should have done my research. I did not realize their price was so bloated. I knew college was expensive, so I sort of looked away from the amount and signed. Boy was that a mistake! They also told me that since they are not a technical college any more and that I would be getting an associates degree that KU and Washburn would gladly take all the credits. Not being into the college scene before I had no idea that they could flat out lie to me.

Several other students including me complained that our credits don't transfer anywhere, even though all of us were told that they were. Of course the office denies that any one told us that. Plus, none of us can sue because we all signed agreements that we would pay.

FOR PROFIT college must mean they can charge 4 times as much as any other college.

Well, half way through my schooling I decided to start looking at colleges of where I could transfer my credits to and continue my education. Getting a 4.0 and perfect attendance, I also figured pretty much anywhere would accept me. Once again I was wrong. No one will accept these credits.  But I had never completed anything in my life, so I decided oh well. I can still get a career as a medical assistant and later I might try to go on.

I am not even going into all the crap that happened there, the horrible attendance rates, the teachers being assaulted, and the poor attitudes of the students I was ready to graduate and move on.

Come to find out there is no way to get a job as a medical assistant nor medical lab technician in Topeka because I came from Bryan. Even with my 4.0. Plus, the job would not pay me any more than I got paid at my retail store that I had been working for.

I decided to go back to college. Washburn accepted me but I now have $33,000 debt for nothing. I am attending more classes in this semester than I did at Bryan and it is seriously 4 times less money than there. Nice...

Oh they have also changed their name from Bryan College to Bryan University...as if that would help their bad reputation.

I have told everyone I know not to let anyone they know to attend the scam called Bryan College. Even one of the teachers has been spreading the word not to attend.
