Bryant Woods Inn Richard Colandrea Carmen Colandrea Verbal Abuse, Inappropriate Conduct, Mistreatment of Residents & Failed to Pay Employees Columbia Maryland

Bryant Woods Inn is a joke, and I feel sorry for those who reside in this "assisted living home". Truly sorry for those who work there.

First of all, there is no sense of proper conduct or management. Carmen and Richard Colandrea (Mother and Son) run this business from their home. Both are geriatric themselves, Carmen being probably near 80 or more, and Richard being 64 years old. Richard is in terrible health, constantly complains, sleeps on his bed durng working hours, which is located right in the middle of the "office" area by the way, and cannot even stay awake long enough most days to have a minute phone conversation. One day in he was complaining of explosive diarrea! Carmen is seriously old, and apparently she has cancer, yet still works to handle most of the day-to-day operations. 

The place is unsanitary, and I really don't think food is handled properly. It's a wonder all the residents haven't died of food poisoning. The care is a joke. One day I was asked to bath two residents, and did so with no license or proper experience. The male and female I cared for were left in ther beds quite late into the morning with soiled depends and should have been looked after much earlier. I took pity on them, and helped...again with NO EXPERIENCE in these matters. Isn't that illegal?! 

I was employed for three weeks as a "Personal Assistant" to Richard and his mother, which I was not hired for. I was suppose to be completing small odd tasks for Richard's real estate business and the assisted living business as well as whatever else he had going on. I was never given any proper directions, other than to be constantly berrated and insulted and told information from his past life and experiences which were 1. Not at all relevant to the position, 2. Somewhat innapropriate. 

I was never paid for my employment. Not a cent. 

I should have known not to stick around when after the first week, the accountant (hired the same day as I was) was fired for not knowing Richard's bookkeeping. How can he know if it's never explained?! I am sure he wasn't paid either.

This place needs to be shut down! How can they pass inspections, unless they are paying them off?!
