We contacted David on Monday, Nov 18th and asked him if he would be able to provide our company with detailing services for 1 vehicle on the morning of Nov 20th prior to 8am. David agreed to handle the job and agreed to a price. We send David a PO late in the day on Nov 19th and we text him the clients name and phone number that would be on site. As of 7 pm on Nov 19th everything was all set up and ready to go.
At 12:30 am on the morning of Nov 20th David sent me a text stating that he never received the PO and he would not handle the job and if he did it would now be $300. Of course I did not get the text message at that time because I was in bed. When I awoke in the monring I was getting ready to leave my house when I looked at my phone and saw the message.
At that same time another message from him was coming through my phone. This message said "I stand corrected, I did receive the PO and it was in my junk folder, but its blank." I explained to him that he could not read the document because his smart phone did not have the most up to date version of Adobe Reader. I then asked him if the car had been cleaned and his answer was "No, I am at my shop now and its open for businiess".
David Rea handled this situation in the most unprofessional manor he could have! He had agreed to the rate of $80 to clean this vehicle, but then wanted to raise the rate because of his error! He also didnt bother picking up a telephone and call me, he sends me a text message at 12:30 am the morning of the event to tell me he wouldnt handle the event.
Its apparent he lacks the communication skills a normal business owner should have. Our company has been in business well over 30 years and our reputation speaks for itself. I warn anyone else that ever does business with this unprofessional company to be careful the same thing doesnt happen to them!! Its a wonder he is even still in business.
I was able to repair the relationship with my client because we have done business together for many years now. David Rea and Bucks County Detail was known as the bad guy and my client knows he was the failure in this situation!

Bucks County Detailing has been in business over 30 yrs. Our quality and service has won us the Best of Bucks and Best of Levittown awards.
What this extreamly wordy report fails to mention is that in two days of phone calls to Jeff I could not get the necessary purchase order out of him. And when I did it was blank. No confirmation on price, timeline, nothing.
Just a blank form. The reason for the middle of the night text..... At that time I still didn't have the purchase order at 1am eastern time and I was still up trying to confirm the job!!!!!
This type of contract work is done strictly by confirmed purchase order paperwork which was not in my possesion by the morning the job was to be done. Failure to execute a P O in a timely fashion and mannor was the problem. Any of you out there who work by contract P O paperwork know........
'If you don't have a purchase order contract....you don't have a confirmed job. As of the morning of the job I still had no PO.
I've never had so much trouble getting a P O out of a company for a job in my 30+ years in business EVER!!!
My reputation in Bucks County, Levittown, and all of Mercer County speaks for itself. You don't suceed in business over 30 years with the kind of sucess I've had by accident.
