Budget Mobile Budget Mobile Lifeline sends out broken phones calling them "refurbished" Detroit Michigan

About six months ago I  recieved my lifeline cell. Several of the keys barely work if they work at all and need to be pressed several times. I have contacted Budget Mobile several times and they have said it's a refurbished phone and if i'd like a replacement then I need to visit the store which is over an hour away and be preprepared to spend $19.99-$49.99. I did not use the phone more than the call a month nessacery to keep the line active for the first few months. Now, two days ago the charger stopped working. My father in law said the motherboard popped which could have caused a fire. Their solution? They will simply send another "refurbished" charger. Here is an excerpt of the report. With how wishwashy Budget Mobile is, I'm not sure I want to continue my services. Thank you for your time. I absolutely cannot afford a new phone I am on disability and medicaid Even if I could, I live in Flint, Mi and cannot drive so a trip to Detroit is impossible. I am on disability and medicaid. If nessacery I will cancel my phone service and report budget mobile for sending me a broken phone that never worked correctly to begin with. The phone is an LG Rumor Touch or LG rumor touch 2. I would really appreciate a free charger.

I just wanted to let Budget Mobile know that I am very dissatisfied with the phone and charger I received when I signed up for lifeline. The phone was clearly used as someone's primary cellphone for years. There are several keys that barely work and the phone never holds a charge. Also, the charger I received is broken. I gave it to my father in law to look at since he is highly mechanical and he told me the strips had popped and that the motherboard was most likely fried. He also told me this takes years of wear. I have only had the phone for a few months and now, since I cannot find a compatible charger I am phone-less.
