I would never wish Budget Mobile on anyone. They have been a nightmare to deal with since I joined them a year ago.  Every single month I have to call because my minutes do not automatically renew and I can't use my phone. Then you're on hold forever, get cut off, before someone can help you. They give fewer minutes, texts, and data than competitors. They sent the wrong phone initially than the one they promised in writing in an email - showed on their web site a photo of a smart phone and then sent a tiny old non-functioning phone. I waited 30 days for the first phone while my other one got shut off because I had joined them so had no cell phone.  Then I had to complain and wait to get the replacement. And when that came it had all kinds of problems. Battery doesn't hold a charge, screen jumps around, there is no memory so you can't save anything. It's an older Android, but its junk with the operating system not updated and everything is incompatible.  Often times I will find I don't have coverage at all at my own house and of course when traveling to nearby cities or states where other cell providers work fine. And now today I went online to check my minutes to see if I will be running out and need to top up, and their site is down for maintenance FOR 5 DAYS and you can't reach anyone by phone either. So you have no idea how many minutes are left and can't add anymore, so anyone who runs out is screwed. I seriously doubt they will even be back up after 5 days and probably am going to call the Ohio state regulatory agencies about this unacceptable action. No one answers their customer service phone. This company is a complete rip off, incompetent, a fraud, a nightmare, and a waste of government money (and my own as I pay for additional top-up coverage) as they are not fulfilling their responsibility to the customer.

Budget Mobile Customer Too

I too am a Budget Mobile Customer (now known as Global Connections). I cannot use my phone at all when I am at home. If someone sends me a text message or tries to call me, it won't go through because Budget Mobile has such poor connection and not a wide coverage area. Their customer service reps keep you on hold forever and cannot resolve issues. 

For the last 2.5 weeks, I have been receiving the same text message over and over each time I power my phone on. Keep in mind, I cannot actually receive text messages because of the location I'm in, but I am able to receive them when I drive to an urban area. I have received this same text message more than 50 times since September 4th and it just won't go away. I tried to resolve this issue on 9/22 but I was never able to connect to an actual live rep. I was on hold for a full hour. I will definitely be switching carriers in 2017, regardless of whether I have to break my contract with them. They won't get a dime from me either for early termination. I can guarantee that.
