Budget Orlando Budget MCO scam , agent lies Orlando

 I reserved a car for pickup at the Budget MCO location and upon arrival to the desk,the agent went through the paperwork and contract and added SLI (Supplemental Liability Insurance). I told her I have never taken this insurance and She lied and informed me that it is required in the state of Florida. Her name is Sylvia

Once I was helped, the agent went through the paperwork and contract and added SLI (Supplemental Liability Insurance). At the time, I didn't know what this was exactly so I asked if it was necessary and that we don't want it. She lied and informed me that it is required in the state of Florida.I reserved a car for pickup at the Budget MCO location and upon arrival to the desk, waited in line for over an hour before being helped. Ratio of agents to customers was close 1-to-1 as well.   Once I was helped, the agent went through the paperwork and contract and added SLI (Supplemental Liability Insurance). At the time, I didn't know what this was exactly so I asked if it was necessary and that we don't want it. She lied and informed me that it is required in the state of Florida.  Ads by ZINC  I recently emailed Budget asking if this is true and they stated it is not. I called to complain and was only offered and given 50% of the cost of the SLI (which was close to $50 for my three day rental). I took it because that's all they said they could offer me even though I escalated to a manager. I am still unhappy about my experience either way.  But most of all, I am extremely upset that this agent would lie. It's one thing to scam someone by adding an optional feature and hoping the customer won't ask about it. But to lie about why you added it (for the sake of getting your commission) is taking it to another level.
