I was ripped off by Buffy Marie Lawrence, an attorney in Houston Texas. She stole my rent money on a home I leased from here after she lost the home in foreclosure. That's right she lost the home and continued to come around for the rent check. In the meantime I'm being evicted by the bank. She has not returned my security deposit of 3150.00 and stole 2500. in rent from me to boot.
I filed a Bar complaint and the Bar exonerated her based on the fact that she was not my attorney, the fact that she is still licensed to practice law here in Texas says that the TEXAS BAR IS A JOKE! This may be hard to believe but its true, she's a crook but can still practice law here in Houston while on Bail. I guess you really are innocent until proven guilty. I would imagine a 3 year investigation by the FBI, IRS and other federal agencies has NO WEIGHT with the TEXAS BAR.
Here are the facts, just Google this so called attorney. BTW Buffy's office address is a Mailbox pick up store and her phone never gets answered.
Buffy Marie Lawrence, 40, and 3 others were arrested in Houston, Texas; they have been indicted for their alleged involvement in a scheme to defraud residential mortgage lenders of more than $22 million in loans. This Attorney has been charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Lawrence is expected to surrender themselves to federal authorities The maximum penalty for each wire fraud and conspiracy count is 20 years in prison as well as substantial fines. A conviction for money laundering conspiracy carries the most significant fine of $250,000 or twice the amount of the criminally derived property, whichever is greater. The investigation leading to the charges was conducted by the FBI, IRS-CI, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation - Office of Inspector General, and Houston Police Department
Maybe the Texas Bar will set up an office for her in the joint so she can continue to rip people off.

I have not seen (Buffy) Ms Lawerence in approximately 20 years, but at one time I knew her very well. She was a good hearted, kind and sweet person, Even tried to help me in a time where I lost my way. It is heartbreaking to hear your path in life Buffy, you were and still are a powderkeg of potential. I hope the best for you;) hang in there, its never too late to turn things around.

I too know this cretin. Calling her an attorney is an insult to the lowlife attorneys she swims with. I tried to get my money back that she squandered to no avail. When I tried to contact her I found her hiding behind that PO Box on Waugh Dr in Houston that's a UPS office.
She needs to be disbared and put in prison for her antics. The FBI and the IRS had better watch this slippery slimebag, she'll get away if they don't. I can't believe that the Texas Bar has not done anything to her yet! It goes to show how incompetant the Bar is when protecting the public.
