BuildDirect.com Build Direct Bad Flooring - Bait and Switch Vancouver BC Canada

In March of 2013 I purchased 1800+ square feet of engineered hardwood flooring from BuildDirect.com.  The product I ordered was Vanier Trendy Coffee Maple flooring.  http://www.builddirect.com/engineered-hardwood-floors/-maple-coffee/productdisplay_8804_p1_10056338.aspx.  The price was $3.40 per square Foot.  The product I received was Jasper Harbors Maple Latte http://www.builddirect.com/engineered-hardwood-floors/-maple---latte/productdisplay_8804_p1_10074811.aspx  The price of this product at the time was $2.49 per square foot.  They look almost the same but there is a quality and brand difference.

When I called to report this the person at build direct told me that I did in fact receive the proper product even though it said Jasper on it and nowhere, on the box, on the wood product itself did it say Vanier Trendy anywhere.  It has Jasper Harbors printed on the box and on the bottom of the flooring itself.

Now that my floors have been installed they are delaminating and coming apart in several area of my home.  I had them professionally installed by a licensed and bonded installer in the Denver Metro area.  There is almost no fluctuation in humidity in Colorado where I live and the floors have only been in for 10 months.  The product is of very poor quality and they did not ship me the product I ordered and paid for.  Even after calling them and complaining that they sent me the wrong product they insisted that it was the correct item.

The flooring is made in China and very poor quality.  BuildDirect.com is a rip-off for anyone looking to buy flooring.  They will send you the wrong product then tell you that they didn't and then your floors will separate and delaminate in under a year.
