 Everyone should look at Richland and Lexington County Court Records.  Court records can be found online - they are public information.    You can find his name in there many times for a variety of charges related to his crooked business practice.  BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE.  You have been warned.

I contacted the South Carolina Department of LLR and Herman Bulluck was not a licensed contractor, in fact, his license had expired many years ago.

I first heard of HB through my realtor.  He was very upfront with me and I was very happy to find out that HB is a man of his word and will follow up on a job even after the work has been done.  He has gone above and beyond by checking my AC unit for me and not charging me anything extra for the trouble (and I live out in the country area!).  He is very thorough, gives advice and then waits for you to make your own decision. 

I am a female and as we all know, men tend to take advantage of that, but he has not.  He has quoted me fair prices and not changed them even when he very well could have (additional Freon charges).  This may not seem like much, but I highly recommend him to anyone.  He has done everything to ensure that he keeps me as a satisfied customer and not merely a ripped off customer.  He is determined to make sure I have my air filters (thank you!), cleaned my yard around the AC area, wrapped hoses that I did not get charged for, and has given me other homeowner advice that has proven very useful. 

Please do not go with one bad report, HB is a man of his word, he arrives early and doesn't leave until the job is done to the best of his ability (which is excellent). 

I have been in business since 1975 both as a General Contractor and a Sub-Contractor. Over the years I have had thousands of experiences, both good and bad, interfacing with other contractors of all sorts.

Part of being in business is dealing with various adversities that arise from time to time. I have been involved over the years in mitigation, arbitration and litigation with both subcontractors and customers in an effort to seek expeditious dispute resolution.

We represent an industry that needs to maintain face and accountability to our customers and our affiliates. Whether it is our supply vendors, our customers or our network of contractors with which we interface.

I have had three occasions to work with Mr Bulluck and have to say he is knowledgeable, insightful, dedicated to service and responsive. Sometimes, circumstance beyond what is normal, cause us to miss the mark. I believe this man has the heart of a Titan and is deserving, due to circumstance, appreciation for the military service he has given. I believe that dedication shows in his secular pursuits. 

I have lost, over the years, brothers and sons doing what they considered obligatory service in support of our life styles so often taken for granted. That being said, I consider this man and his industrious effort to provide a viable service to this community an asset and one I will support.

We need to focus on building our communities up. This man shines with ambition and hope, dedicated to family and community, willing to offer solutions to your service needs. One negative report does more damage than one hundred satisfied customers.

My decades of experience lead me to believe this man will succeed and I will support his efforts as a mentor and compadres.

This response is to bring clarity in regards to the disturbing claims that have been placed upon my business as well as myself. When this incident occurred I was very new and not highly experienced in the HVAC business industry.  I was working under apprenticeship as well as taking HVAC classes, all while being in the Marine Corps Reserve. I did indeed make contact with a company to help with a few of my Columbia based clients, not several but only a few because at this time my clientele was extremely small. 

While working on one of my first large commercial jobs in Spartanburg, SC, I was called by the Marine Corps Reserve to be deployed to Iraq for three years. I immediately left to serve my duties for our country. I unfortunately never finished the job in Spartanburg, SC nor was able to make contact with the company that helped with a few of my Columbia based clients.

 Addressing the issue concerning being a licensed contractor, I am a licensed contractor and my license number is S-38555 to anyone it may concern. However at that particular time due to the fact of being in the service and being deployed it was quite difficult to keep up with all the responsibility and at one time my license did expire, but at that time I was not dong any major work with my business.

 My business practice is absolutely under no circumstances to rip people off or steal from them and my business is in very well standing today. And as far as this person claiming to talk to several people in the community that have had the same negative experience is not at all accurate in any way because my clientele was extremely small since I was just at the very start of launching my HVAC business.

My question is, if this person was driving down Garners Ferry Road and noticed an advertising bench advertising Bullucks Heating and Air (803)695-8888 "We Strive for Excellence", why have they not yet contacted me to resolve the issue rather than trying to ruin my business by placing it on the internet?
