Business Development Group (BDG)is a HUGE SCAM! Per phone solicitation on 12/18/03, BDG contacted me stating they were calling on behalf of a MLM company I am a member of. Their proven Trade Secrets would enable me to make money and build my MLM business on the Internet. After verification from the MLM as to BDG's credibilty, I paid BDG $3,810.00 for:

1) Training Sessions with top personal coach

2) Access to a Personal Training System

3) A Fully E-Commerce enabled Website and Shopping Cart System with Turnkey Marketing and Fulfillment System

4) Merchant Account

5) Online Advertising as stated in a contract they e-mailed to me. The payment was done via a 3 way phone call where the owner of BDG, Kason Frei, did a "balance transfer" to my Discover Credit Card.

BDG had contracted a "Coach" to perform the services
stated in the Contract. The "Coach" stated the Contract I had with BDG had nothing to do with him. I made numerous calls to BDG, they would not respond. I proceeded to have 5 phone conversation with the Coach resulting in:

a) BDG failed to provide access to a Personal Training System,

b) BDG did not provide the quality of Website as stated in the Contract, and

c) BDG did not provide the Merchant account to completely enable my website. Because of this, No Training, Advertising Tools or Trade secrets had transpired.

Again, I made numerous calls to BDG, they would not respond. On 3/18/04, I Filed a Complaint with the Utah BBB. On 5/17/04, I received an e-mail from BBB stating, "This complaint case has now been closed as an UNANSWERED complaint in their file. Per Phone conversation with BBB, there were already at least 10 Other Citations issued against BDG from other consumers, of which, all had gone UNANSWERED.

On 5/4/04, I contacted the Co-founder of the MLM and was
told he had stopped doing business with BDG. I asked for his help to obtain a Refund from BDG. He contacted BDG and resulting in a call from Greg Warden of BDG who stated he would be happy to refund my money or offer another contract which was e-mailed to me. The contract was almost identiical to the original one that was unfulfilled. I e-mailed BDG stating I wanted a refund.
Again, no response.

On 6/1/04, I contacted the Co-founder of MLM regarding
no response from BDG. This prompted BDG to e-mail me a
Non-Disclosure and Refund Agreement which states: Upon
completion of this agreement and submitted to BDG, any and all compensation and or refunds will be granted And dispersed within 10 business days from the returned completion date.

On 6/2/04, I mailed the Agreement to BDG via US Express
Mail. It was received by BDG on 6/5/04. I have received
NO REFUND. At this point, the Co-founder of the MLM had used only his high stature in the Internet Community to persuade BDG, there was nothing more he could do.

On 7/11/04, I filed a Complaint with Federal Trade
Commission (FTC) and the US Postal Service with No Resolve. I received an e-mail from the FTC stating they would send this information to other commissions, however, due to the number of complaints filed, this would be on the record for future problems.

Due to the "balance transfer" of the $3,810 transaction,
my Credit Card company could provide no recourse action. Conclusion: I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED BIG TIME BY BUSINESS
DEVELOPMENT GROUP!!

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
