Butterfleye IndieGoGo scam / false advertising San Mateo California

Butterfleye ran a crowd-funding campaign on the IndieGoGo website (indiegogo.com/projects/butterfleye-smart-and-versatile-monitoring-camera-security#/) for a Smart and Versatile Monitoring Camera.

Like many other crowed-funded projects they shipped a product that didn't even come close to what they promised.

The first issue was the fact that they were over 1 year behind their original estimated delivery date.

However, the bigger issue is the fact that there is NO Android application like the advertised.

I contact Butterfleye and complained about the lack of an Android app. Instead of providing the advertised software or refunding the purchase price they were making excuses.

This fact pretty much renders the hardware useless for anyone who dosen’t own an iOS device. As of July 2017 they still don’t offer an Android application which makes the camera an expensive paper weight.
