Buy Owner Resort Marketing, Inc. Sales person: Kelly stole our money by promising a money back guarantee, but comes back saying something else. Daytona Beach, Florida

Last fall, we received a call from an old lady, named Kelly, claiming the company can sell our timeshare within a few months and if not, they will give our money back any time during the first 6 months. We agreed, and paid the $898. Now, it appears that they are not selling the property, we asked for our money back. And here is the response we got: ... since we satisfied our marketing obligation, (which is to market it), we can not give you your money back.

The lesson we learned is this: read your contract carefully. Don't be fooled by an old lady, who seemed harmless. She is evil, along with her bosses. The contract said: "If the company has not satisfied our marketing obligations to the client by the end of this marketing agreement, ..., a full refund will be issued..." The problem is that it did not define what is their "marketing obligation". With the misleading interpretation of the sales person, one would interpret it as "selling the property", but in fact, it only means they are going to advertise your property. So, the logic goes, if they marketed it, you are NOT getting your money back. So the "money back guarantee" is worthless.

Never trust this company! It will steal your money!
