Buyvogue.com SINGLE MOTHER RIPPED OFF FOR $199 BY BUYVOGUE.COM Bronx Internet
*Consumer Comment: Chill out, Laforge
*Consumer Suggestion: Not sure what is more of a ripoff.. Buying $199 sneakers, or not getting them
I order a pair of prada sneakers for $199.99 on 5/30/2008 they took my money out of my account. I have not received my order as yet. I tryed to talk to someone but got no response from there so called LIVE OPERATORS, I also have sent emails and have not heard any info from them. I am a single parent and I order those sneakers for my son's Birthday that was on 6/15 and still haven't received them.It is very unfair that people work hard for there $ and have to deal with false promises.

Okay, this is a response to the rebuttal above me. I can't stand people who attack with "well, you shouldn't have been buying that anyway". That is not the issue. The issue is that it is wrong of this "company" to steal money from unwitting consumers and not deliver on their end of the contract. As for the $200 for the sneakers, my parents didn't have much money but they sometimes splurged on things that may have seemed ridiculous and too expensive to them for me on my birthday and Christmas, because they thought it'd make me happy. Personally, I'd do the same thing for my kid from time to time, because it feels good to have nice things.

You should just buy sneakers at local stores. Also, since you're a "single mother" [i guess that is you trying to say you don't have a lot of money?] maybe your priority should have been getting your son something at a good price, rather than overpriced prada merchandise.
Want to know a little secret? The rip-off is paying $200 for shoes. Just like how my GF wants coach hand bags, and would think nothing of paying $500 for one. I have a relative that works for coach, and their production costs are about 1% of their sale costs.. I'm sure the same is true with the prada sneakers. How do I know this? Look at them, and then go to walmart and see if you can find a $9 pair of sneakers that look very similar. - You know you can. How much you want to be that the $9 pair of sneakers are also a profit?
I am not making this suggestion because I can't afford $200 sneakers, I'm making this suggestion because it makes NO SENSE to buy them.
