Hired to take wedding pictures. Pictures were taken but never delivered, it's been SEVEN months! The wedding was 8/2/2014, as of today 2/10/2015 we still have no pictures. My daughter, the bride, made dozens of attempts to contact Bobby before I took over in December. Initially she told me it was taking so long because people were taking flash photography and it ruined the pics and required extensive editing. Well, the wedding was OUTSIDE in the SUNSHINE, even if a flash did go off, it would NOT have interfered with the photos. My step daughter, the best man, and 2 of my best friends are professional photographers and said there is NO way that would effect the pictures. When we FINALLY got Bobby to upload the pics to her site, NONE of them had been edited. So all the fuss over extensive editing was a lie. Again other photographers were asked to view the pictures and all agreed they are over exposed. I even told bobby to just send me the "raw" pictures as one of my friends offered to do all the editing as a favor to me. She refused. There are also MANY pictures MISSING from that day. For instance, pics of the groom with the bridesmaids, bride with the groomsmen, grooms family with the couple, poses of bride before wedding, and couple leaving in car. To name a few. I sent her pictures of her taking the pictures and she still says they aren't there or that "she doesn't post pics if someone's eyes are closed etc". If you look through our gallery, you can see THAT'S not a true statement! I asked her to send me those pics as well as many of them can still be fixed with proper editing. NOTHING One picture of my daughter that is POSTED shows her reflection in the mirror where the wedding dress if hanging. My daughter is in her UNDERWEAR! Who posts those? If they were carefully and "extensively" edited, why was this not caught? I have contacted Bobby via phone, text and email DOZENS of times since early December and all she gives are excuse after excuse. Every time we write it's like we never talked before. She asks the same questions and tells me more excuses why she hasn't finished the photos. I've gotten to the point where I just forwarded her our previous emails from days/weeks before where I did answer her questions or do what she asked. Her contract states 8weeks for pics, at the wedding she told me 4-6. She said this when she took pics of the couple holding a "Thank You" sign and I wanted to know how long it would take so they could use those pics for their Thank You notes. After SEVEN months, what are they supposed to do with those pics??? I asked bobby for a refund since she broke contract, she refused. She has since refused to answer any of my correspondence. That's why I'm here. Her statement that others taking photos breaks the contract is bogus, we even had her permission for my step daughter, another professional photographer, to take pictures! She just asked that she wait till Bobby took the pic first then she could repeat it. I was appalled that several of the pictures she took and posted aren't of the wedding but of people at the wedding taking pictures!!! Who knows what she missed. Would have been nice to get more pics of the wedding and family. She also complained there was "someone there with a tripod". I told her to look closely and she'd see he was taking video! The groom's grandmother was very ill and could not attend so they taped the ceremony for her. Oh, and he didn't have ANY light source, just the sun!

And the lies continue!

SUBMITTED: Wednesday, April 15, 2015
I’m becoming worried about this woman. She seems to feel that if she tells the same lie over and over again it will somehow become the truth. Let me start with the BBB complaint. Anyone that has ever dealt with the BBB knows they don’t “rule” in anyone’s favor. That’s simply a lie. The site says she refused my requests and offered her own (less than what is even listed on her contract) and I declined. Here is the site, read it for yourself. https://knoxville.app.bbb.org/complaint/view/8047290/c/74443w On 3-4-2015 she stated she would send out the flash drive, today is 4-15-2015 and it still has not arrived! Why am I not surprised? Yes I HAVE posted this complaint on multiple sites. I would pray that anyone who receives such horrible service and a breach of contract (by her, not me) would take the time to warn as many other would be clients to keep clear of that company. This woman states over and over and over again that we breached the contract by allowing others to take pictures. Below I have quoted directly from her contract that it is allowed! Says specifically no flash but that’s ALL! Even says they CAN! I pulled the statement below directly from the BBB site. Please read and if you have any questions please send them to me or if you would like to see the actual contract, I have that copy as well! Stay away from this woman, she is just bad news! Posted from me on BBB site 3-5-2015 “I'm glad the photographer has agreed not to continue to hold the photos hostage. The couple is mortified that the groom’s family pictures were lost as well as all the others mentioned.
With regard to following her around with a camera, I kinda thought that was funny. I didn't have a phone with me let alone a full camera. LOL If so, I'm sure she would have taken time away from the ceremony to take that picture as well and I can guarantee you THAT photo would not have been lost. LOL If she will not send unedited pictures, perhaps she would arrange a time for the bride and groom to just view them so they can see if there are any other pictures they might want? Sadly there is nothing we can about the horrific breach in contract with regard to it taking 8 months (now 9)to receive any pictures. With regard to others taking photos, the ENTIRE paragraph in the contract reads: "It is understood that no other photographer, amateur or professional shall be appointed or allowed to photograph the events of the day while the Photographer is working, and that any breach of this agreement will constitute a reason for non-completion of the job with no liability to the Photographer and loss of Retainer and/or any other Fees paid by the Client to BW Ventures Photography to include deposit, balances and any other monies paid. Family, friends and guests may take snapshots without flash, but no one else may be appointed to function as an official photographer of the day’s events or anyone acts in such a manner that interferes with BW Ventures Photography's ability to do the job they have been contracted to complete. This includes all forms of camera, phones, tablets, etc." (content edited for typos only) CLEARLY is says "Family, friends and guests may take snapshots without flash, . . ." It does not state where/when etc. at ALL. As is obvious by looking at any of the photos, it was a bright sunny day and NO FLASH was used or needed by anyone. Perhaps the Photographer needs to reread her own contract. NO Breach occurred. It would seem that in taking pictures of people taking pictures, the photographer intended to NOT fulfill the contract from the beginning or was looking for a "way out" of any complaints. Makes you wonder since MOST of the other complaints filed were about these same issues. I guess we could go on and on and on about who did what. The only breach that was ever in question by the Photographer by the client is the above and clearly, there was no breach.
The Photographer however has breached the contract multiple times: 1)No consultation- the phone conversation she spoke of lasted not more than 5 min and the ONLY thing discussed was the time. 2)No engagement photos. 3)No photos of couple "leaving the wedding". 4)Photos were not ready in the 8 weeks indicated in the contract. 5) Multiple photos are missing and Photographer continues to "claim" they were never taken even when pictures of those pictures being taken was provided to her. A breach is a breach- the contract states Photographer is liable for missing photos. Given ALL the breaches listed above, I don't think asking for a full refund is asking too much. If the Photographer wishes to negotiate on the amount of refund, I am here to listen.” I’m not sure how else to show this woman is a liar. That is the exact quote from the contract with regard to others taking pictures! Clearly nothing was done wrong. She is right that initially I asked for the unedited pictures. My thought was that if she would just give me those I could get someone else to do the editing that she clearly didn’t do and she would be off the hook for the work. When she said this was unacceptable I said fine, can we arrange a time to come and just see those pictures? No response. This is what we’ve asked for: The pictures promised per the contract, the “engagement” session, and pictures (now would be family pics maybe? Kind of late for engagement pics at this point), the flash drive, and a refund. The total we paid was $750.
The kids (wedding couple) have had a wait 9 months and counting for their wedding pics, the pics that were taken are armature quality at best, and SEVERAL important shots of family, etc. are now “missing”. These particular pics of the groom’s extended family will never happen again, they live a distance away and getting them all together is impossibility (not to mention the wedding is now over). Because we asked for a full refund we even said we’d be happy with just the flash drive and a chance to view ALL the pics and that we would get the prints done on our own so the photographer would not be out actual cash just the time she spent that day at the wedding. Honestly if the pictures are this bad without proper editing, why bother to have them printed until they are fixed? At this point we have paid $750 for this woman and her husband to come shoot pictures. That’s it! We’ve gotten NOTHING else, unless you count all the grief. Bobbie, Please just send the kids their pictures! You’ve ruined what was supposed to be the happiest day of their lives, can you PLEASE stop causing them more pain??? What kind of person does this? contract broken

I have not bothered to read this complaint as this particular person has writen reviews and complaints on every site she can find and will not cease because I refuse to bend to her demands. I have read her complaints at ever site she has written them and I am sure this one is the same.
My clients recieve a PRIVATE gallery. I do not give the gallery link to anyone without permission. The only way anyone sees the gallery images is if the client shares the link. On occasion there are shots when in the bridal that should be private, therefore the gallery is private.
My business with the person that wrote this complaint was for me to take photos at her daughters wedding. As with every wedding there is a contract that is read and signed with this client. My contract is very specific about the Exclusitivity portion and the wording is very clear. No other photographers amatuer or professional, including phones, cameras etc. I pay particular attention to this portion of the contract when speaking with any client. This client was no exception and the contract was signed and dated by the client.
As with all contracts you cannot pick and choose what portions in which you wish to abide. When you sign the contract you are agreeing to its terms. The client agreed by signing and dating the contract. I should also mention that no where in my contract does it state no flash photography, it states no photography. The contract was broken when the exclusitivy portion was broken. By the writer of this complaint and in her own words she stated in an email to me that she was photoographing me while I was photographing. There are photographs of all the people that were photographing during the ceremony..again breech of contract.
Cell phones, tablets and inexpensive cameras have become a real issue for all photographers and they do interfere with us doing our jobs. When this occurs I purposely photograph the numerous people taking photos as my proof to show the client. That was the first of many issues with this wedding and it has not stopped since.
She states I gave permission to someone to photograph and that is not the case. I do allow photography during the reception and in fact welcome it. But no other time is this allowed.
THe writer of this complaint wanted raw images to edit herself or have a friend edit and I refused. Client has demanded a refund and I have also refused. Client states the images are not to her standards and has had other photographer friends look over the images and they are willing to edit the images for her. Again I refused.
I have done everything possible to try to please this clients mother but there is not pleasing her except to give her the raw images I have taken, the edited images, issue a refund and have worked for nothing. I have completely abided by my contract in this matter.
Clients mother reported me to the BBB and they ruled that I have made every effort to work things out with this clients mother. After she started complaining all over the internet to anyone that would give her voice I did stop all contact with her. There is no reason to communicate further when there is no resolution.
I have reached the point of total frustration in this matter but sometimes one has to take a stand. Unfortunately the internet has given voice to those that would otherwise only be able to rant on the phone, the local newspaper etc. Now anyone can write anything about anyone on the internet and people take it as face value. It matters not what is said.
According to my contract when the contract was broken by the client I was not required to finish any work for her. I would never want any bride to not have her wedding photos. Even though this has become such an ugly matter with this clients mother (the person that filed the complaint) I still feel the bride deserves her images. Therefore she has been mailed her flash drive.
I would be glad to share the link to this gallery (minus any images that might show anyone in an embarrassing manner) to prove my position in this matter.
