So sorry to hear about everything you have all gone through. I am currently working on a documentary all about fraud and scams like this one and to help bring awareness to this terrible crime, we are looking to speak with individuals willing to share their story.

We are currently in the process of producing a new documentary series for a major broadcaster about extraordinary tales of deception - be it bigamy, catfishing or romance fraud. The series will focus on the bravery and heroism involved in bringing fraudsters to court and receiving justice for their crimes. 

My name is Grace and I am an Assistant Producer at Angel Eye Media - a UK television company. Angel Eye Media has a wealth of experience of producing sensitive documentaries for major broadcasters such as BBC and Channel 4, most recently producing Channel 4’s Nikki Grahame: Who Is She?.

 I dated Byron J D-bag back in 2011 for several months. I'm horrified to see that he stole money from so many other women besides myself. He clearly has the same speech he gives every woman. This sociopath took me for 8 grand when he said his brother would be killed by gang violence while in jail and needed money to bail him out. He promised the money to me the following day and said he needed time to get it out of his account in MA. Well I obviously never saw that money again. I called his mother and spoke to his friends as well as wrote his brother. To be honest I think the mother is in on it. From what I am reading she claims to not know about what her son is doing but she does know. Her son is a piece of trash. He is a criminal who should be locked away but of course he knows he can and does get away with it. Unfortunately I was caught up in his deceitful plan. And to think a friend of mine set me up with him! It is nauseating. All these years later I thought to myself I wonder if he's still out there scamming and clearly he is. I feel awful for the women who got scammed. It is a horrific feeling and shame, anger, and guilt get the best of you. Trust me I know. 8 grand gone. Lesson learned...any man asking for money, even a dollar....run far far away. No man should ever ask a woman for money. They are cowards. He obviously has mental problems. His family has to be in on it all...I'll be willing to put another 8 grand on it. The world is filled with predators. We can't be nice anymore and that is a shame. I love how he says he is a model actor. Ladies another piece of advice, if they say they are a model or actor please run...that means broke loser in code.

I met this scumbag around March, 2012.  He too was charming and convicing of his stories. Model/actor, $60K in Chase bank in New York.  He does have famous model friends who I contacted on Facebook to let them know what he did to me but never got a response. I also contacted his daughter's mom and she too ignored me. 

His story to me was his brother was in jail being threatening by gang members and he needed to get him out before the brother got killed and pretty much made it seem like if i didn't help, the brother's death would be my fault but he promised to pay me more than he borrowed once he went to NYC to his bank.

In total within a 1 week timeframe, he got me for $8000.  Then he needed a car to go to NY to get the money, convinced me to rent him a car.  I told him there are Chase banks closer, he pretended to go and every time it was closed, pretended to be in NY but again got there too late.  Then he took the rental and stated he was going to Maine and then Canada for some comercials, that is when I flipped and demanded my money and rental back ASAP, all i got were excuse after excuse.  The whole time he was here with his girlfriend.  I contacted his girlfriend and she was skeptical for a very long time then I showed proof.

I went to a lawyer, filed police reports, sent all my evidence to his mom, spoke to his mom on the phone and it got me no where.  The police did search his brother in the system and his brother was never in jail at that time.  The mom did believe me and confronted him but he denied it all.  after months of calling, chasing, threatening him with police, i finally filed a lawsuite against him.  Went back and forth for one year.  Each time he would get a continuence stating he didn't live in fall river so never got letters for court, never brought what was asked of him from the courts and again got continuence.  Lie after lie, continuence after continuence.  I gave the mom's address, sherriff had to go get him to come to court.  again he deceived the courts and every time they gave him a chance.  Finally, after a year of court dates, i got the judgement and won the case.

I never saw my money a total of $10,000.  Another victim found me and also sued him, I was a witness for her case,  and won but this broke a*s piece of s**t filed for bankruptcy. 

I am soooo sorry for the women he did this too.  The police say they can't do anything about it, it's a civil matter.  I guess the law is on their side, not the victim's side which is a d**n shame.  where is the justice for the victims i don't understand. 

women be ware, he targets single mom's and gets close to their children.  Please do not let this man come into your life no matter how convincing he is.  he is a sociopath, psychotic, sick and twisted man.

For every woman who's saved from this man's conning ways, the better I feel for YOU.  PLEASE stay away from this man!  In addition (and because of) this website, I have personally communicated with FOUR women who were conned out of THOUSANDS of dollars by this deceitful, lying charmer!  It'll start off slow (brother in jail, lost my credit cards, need to pay my phone bill, behind in child support, etc), but very rapidly progress until you are left thinking, "oh my gosh, what the hell did I do?!?!?"  You will be angry with yourself and ashamed of becoming this thief's prey.

There is one lawsuit, one police report and more to come on Mr. Byron (Joseph, Dias, Miles, blah blah blah)

I am writing to thank the ladies who reported "Byron Miles"....U HAVE DONE YOUR JOB! At least in my case....I met Byron on a dating app, Tinder,  chatted and decided to meet up. We had nice conversation, some flirting and he did pay at the restaurant. I felt comfortable to go to his place and hang out to watch a movie. He seemed like a nice guy, made future plans to meet up again. I get home and decide to google him and look what I find!! OMG! Right away I felt somewhat bamboozled, but thank god that I came across this before it went even further. Lesson learned! Moral of the story... GOOGLE BEFORE U MEET!!! So thank u ladies, u have saved me. There is one less victim out there.
