So, to buy student tickets to BYU, this year the BYU Ticket Office has directed everyone to do it online. They also put in a clause that you may create groups, so you can sit with your friends at the football games. The morning the tickets went on sale, August 1st, 2008, I purchased my ticket and created a group for my friends to join.

Little did they make us aware that my friends are supposed to join my group before they purchase their tickets?! Doesn't make any logical sense, but ok. Well, my friends rushed and purchased their tickets before I finished creating the group, so we called the ticket office for assistance, and we assumed they could add my friends into my group, since they have already charged their credit cards and made the purchase.

The customer service lady says there is "No Way" they can add my friends to my group after they have already made the purchase! Not even through a manager. This, supposedly, was stated on the home page of the website, in tiny little letters that blend in with all the other text on the home page. So, these passes cost us $115 to order online, and I bought one, and had 2 friends who bought one as well. $345 worth of tickets. They wouldn't refund any money, they say they "Do not do refunds." Even though it was the same day of the purchase! And they have not even given our tickets to us yet! They have performed no service, but won't return our money! So, we are stuck sitting next to random strangers at the football games, and not in our groups, like they were supposed to design the system for!

I went down to the ticket office, and spoke with the manager named Kristin, and she said "Our system is inflexible, and cannot be accessed by anyone on campus, and the company that is doing all the back-end data base will not touch any of the information." This is a bunch of lies.

I hate ordering from this office, and I recommend you avoid ordering from the BYU Ticket Office/Marriott Center Ticket Office.
