C-1 Truck Driving School/Driver Solutions C-1 Rip off and fraud Fort Wayne Indiana

Well to start I absolutely hate these people they have made our life hell for the last 4 months.

My boyfriend had a friend who completed the CDL course and got a job at PAM through C1 so he thought since the market fell and we are in the scrap industry maybe he should go get a CDL and have a guarantee for our future well that was the biggest joke ever!!

He contacted a recruiter the next week and was told how wonderful an opportunity this was and all he needed was money for food and to fill out this application and they would get back with him. So we receive a call same day after he filled out application being told USA Truck picked him up as a student driver that all he needed was food money and USA Truck was picking up all other expenses besides $ 700.00 that he would have to pay out of his check over the next year. So my boyfriend quits his job and heads to Fort Wayne Indiana. He had this wonderful attitude and was so excited when he left.

He calls me from the hotel once he arrives there and tells me how nasty the hotel is but its free so what can he expect he says. The next morning he completes all necessary drug screening and paperwork and passes everything. Over the next 3 weeks he was an excellent student . He completes all tests and meets all qualifications they even had him helping other students. On the day he is to take his state exam he receives contact from Nicole one of the overly friendly office girls that he needs to call USA. So he contacts them to only be told that they can't hire him, No explanation just can't. So now the recruiters are trying to find him a new company. Then they come back with Swift Transportation will hire you and get you in orientation next week. So he has finally completed everything he needed and was free to come home. He was home the week of Thanksgiving 08.

He contacted his rep at Swift who then told him the week he was suppose to leave for orientation that they didn't have a place for him but would call him when one was available. My boyfriend has contacted Swift every week since then and they do not have any opening nor do they know when they will have any openings. Which isn't Swift's fault they don't have any jobs.

So then about 3 weeks after him being home he receives a letter notifying us that we owe them $7,000.00 for his tuition and expenses for school. I was livid. He called C-1 and was told that we didn't owe the money that it was a simple mistake but the only mistake I see is him ever leaving for C-1. We would only owe the money once he had a job but they have said a lot and I am just hoping it wont get transferred directly to his credit report without our knowledge. He has tried to get employment everywhere you could imagine nowhere will hire a CDL driver without experience and the companies that will aren't currently hiring.

So here we are he has a CDL, perfect work history until the last 4 months, bills up to our ears, kids, Christmas, kids birthdays and only one income. I do not know how much longer we will be able to keep the house and not lose everything we have worked our lives for. C-1 is the biggest mistake anyone could make in my opinion. They are full of empty promises!!!! BEWARE!!!!

GREAT OPPORTUNITY:

crappy hotel which had no hot water for a day
out of pocket expenses for travel and food to school
CDL but no work
$ 7,000.00 balance owed to C-1 with 18% interest rate
No current job market for inexperienced drivers
Once happy, hopeful boyfriend now depressed and feeling bad for all the stress thats on me.
Ill say C-1 was a great opportunity wouldnt you?
