For the past 2 years we have used C-Martin trucking for our trash collection, and for 2 years they could not get a bill to us and repeatedly sent us a late fee bill stating that we were 30day late in paying our quarterly trash bill. They then proceeded to tell us that they have an automated billing system that generates and sends the bill out by email every quarter and that if we get the late notice bill that we were getting the first bill as well. We were not and have never recieved the billing only the late notice printed and shown the email account history to them and everything and they then told us that well you should be responsible enough to know that you have a bill the first of every quarter and call us and ask for the bill if you dont recieve it ( this being stated to us by Sandy the office billing person ) Seriously!
After another year or close to it of dealing with this now we have secured a new trash company and now cannot get them to cancel our service, we were in the office fighting the late fee assesed bill in August for our July payment which they sternly stated was our fault that we have a late fee because they sent a bill in July that we diregarded when in reality the only bill we recieved was the August late bill so my wife told them she wanted to cancel our service effective immediatly and paid the late fee bill in person just to be able to stop dealing with the company. The lady at the desk then stated that well you have a contract with us that auto renews every year and your renewal was in July so to cancel now you will have to pay a canelation fee as well. Send us the bill we told them. It is now October and we recieved a quarterly bill with a late fee for this quarter.
I called in to C-Martin to see what the deal is and they said that again they sent us the bill in Sept. for this quarter and the notice I recieved on 10-25 is the reminder bill with the late fee. I said but we canceled service in August. No your account is still active, in order to cancel your service you have to send us a leter 60 days prior to cancelation of service for us to cancel your service.
