CA Antivirus CA Home and Office Support, Unauthorized Credit Card Charges Repeated Annually for bogus support Internet, Minnesota

Watch out for CA Antivirus. I signed up for a one time license for CA Antivirus with Spyware support back in 2007 (One time meaning no automatic renewal).My account on CA Antivirus' Web Site shows that my software license expired in 2008. This company has continued to charge my credit card every year for the sum of $49.99 USD. I am told that the service fee charge on my cardis for"CA Home and Office Support"! I don't even use this software anymore!!!

While speaking with my credit card supplierthey assure me that they know of this company and tell me it is a very lucrative scheme. They told me that I was to call the number listed on my billing statement next to the charge and attempt to reverse the charges. They also said that if there were any problems with CA that the could file a dispute on the charges for me.

I have calledthe company to have the charges refunded. This is a very dishonest company in a time of economic difficulty!Keep in mindthat the chargecan only berefunded within 60 days of billing! If you miss it you will losethe chancefor a refundfrom them (I think this is what they are counting on).

I'm sure that theowner of this software company is laughing at us while he sits on all of our money!
