I purchased a new spa on my 27, 2006. 30 days later the spa motor stopped running in low speed. When this happens the spa cannot run it twice a day filtration cycle. I called Cal Spas on jul 14th 2006 and left a message in there general mailbox. No returned call. left another another on july 19th, still no returned phone call. Call again on July 27th and got a number for a contracted technician by the name of Scott.

He returned my call to tell me he doen't service the Riverside area, only orange County. He gave me the name and number of Carmen Pardo with Cal Spas. I left a voice mail with her stating my problem. She contacted mem saying I need to send her an e-mail stating the problem. She referred me to another contracted technician. Dave with Protek.

He finally came out Aug 7th only to charge me $70 to tell me the low speed is bad on my motor. it's November 14th 2006, i still do not have a functioning spa. Cal Spa Case number 7136243

#4 Consumer Suggestion

It's not going to get any better

AUTHOR: Terri - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 14, 2006

All's you have to do is look at the complaints on here hundreds of people with the same problem; then if they do offer to help you out they seem to say you have to pay for the spa to be brought back to them. Since you appear to be local to them I'd suggest a small claims lawsuit (limits are $7,500.00 I've been told)instead of causing yourself continued frustration over trying to seek assistance and making so many calls and getting so few returned.

Spa cover

AUTHOR: Georgia - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 14, 2006

I bet the also did not tell you about the cover for your spa. If you spa is not under a gazeebo, your cover will start sagging within 1 year. Cal Spa do not have anything to do with the cover. Your must fight that battle on your on with the cover manufacturer. Good luck!
