Sold a ridiculously over priced car to a child still in high school. Apparently did not run a credit report. Did not provide a copy of the load application.
Did not give the title at time of purchase nor the affidavit as required by law. Gave a temporary tag and wrote it for over the 30 days allowed by law. Did not produce title in the 21 days required and not even the 31 required by law enabling us to return the car for a refund.
42 days later, no title, can't drive the car. They don't care, blame it on the child, yada yada.Filed a complaint with the Indiana Dealer Complaint Unit of the BMV. Filed complaint with the BBB.
These people only care about money. Chris in IL said he isn't in customer service, he is in finanace and we aren't getting our money back, we can't make him.
I guess it is time to file a civil suit when I can get a lawyer.
Oh, did I mention that I, the mother of the child who bought the care got financing from a real bank and paid off Calcars the very next day after buying this car? I just want our money back and for them to hang. My daughter needs to drive to work and college starts soon.
These people are scum.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
File on the BOND!
AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Friday, June 30, 2006
Every car dealer must be bonded. This information is available to the public. File a claim for any financial losses..AND..
Just let them know this dealer they are bonding is operating illegally. This works every time! Go to the delers services office of your motor vehicle division and ask for the info.
I put a dealer out of business this way in 1987-88 in East Mesa, AZ. They siezed every asset the dealer had. Personal and Business.
Have fun!
