Caleb Rainey of the San Diego Multicultural LGBT Literary Foundation Scam, fraud, cheat, fake, phony San Diego California

Caleb Rainey or Caleb James Rainey is the current Executive Director of the San Diego Multicultural LGBT Literary Foundation (SDMLF). The orgainzation was formerly known as the San Diego Multicultural LGBT Book Club. They claim there mission is to preserve, promote, and teach works by l*****n, gay, bisexual, and transgender artists of color.

There website (http://www.sdliteraryfoundation.org/donate) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/SanDiegoMulticulturalLgbtBookclub) states: "Donations are not tax-deductible at this time." Previous eNewsletters stated that, "Our application for IRS 501(c)(3) designation is under review.  This means that donations are not yet tax-deductible, but should be soon! We will continue to keep donors and potential donors updated as to our progress.”

When you ask there staff the ability to show proof of documentation… All staff, including the Chief Financial Officer is unable to provide documentation of such application. How do we know such application has been turned into the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)?

Previous events including there One Year Anniversary Celebration at the Bamboo Lounge, they did not obtain vital information such as name, address, phone number, etc for potential 501(c)3 write off. This means if YOU have donated money and/or any purchase any books at any events. You will not be able to write it off for your own taxes because of their negligence.

Since there conception San Diego Multicultural LGBT Book Club / Literary Foundation, "they" still have not provided the community, documentation of consolidated statements of financial position, related consolidated statements of activities, functional expenses, and cash flows for the years in existance. Real organizations are able to provide documentations that shows expenses spent.

The article also suggest that money donated are being used for personal stuff.

Before donating your money to an organization that claims that they are a potential 501(c)3 non profit... PLEASE check if they are a legit organiztion that can provide 3rd parties audit and IRS 501(c)(3) designation. Real 501(c)3 non profit organizations would be listed on: http://www.charitynavigator.org
