That's right. They add your spouse. This way, if something happens, she's responsible as well. For example, this was for a home bought for a client with bad credit. He stuck me with ALL the bills and left the house. (bad investment on my end, yes I know!) Because the house was in my name, the bills people came looking for me when he didn't pay and they even added me to the account as well as my wife! I mean, me, that I can understand but her? What the...???? Anyway, these guys run a monopoly but you should ALWAYS answer "NO" if they ask whether you're married or not. If you say "Yes", they'll stick your spouse on there too! No reason to have them on there unless you want to improve her/his credit.
