Calliope Talent Model & Artist Mgmt LLC Fraud, Liars, Non Paying Talent Agency Selma Texas

I wanted to provide an update! I have received a partial payment from Calliope Talent. After dealing with them for 3 and a half months with my attorney, I have decided not to fight these people any longer. I wrote the last statement because I had to do that in order to get paid, but they still refused to pay me. I kept having to jump through their hoops but got tired of being in their circus! It was not until I threatened to contact the CEO's of the above mentioned companies to let them know I have not been paid and my refusal to talk to them, that they decided to pay me SOMETHING! They still owe me money, but they have taken enough out of my quality of life...so I digress and I plan to move on with my life without full payment!

If you are reading this and considering this agency, run as fast as you can! I assure you there are MANY awesome agencies out there that act ethically, and I HIGHLY suggest you find them. Go to http://www.sagaftra.org/agency-relations/sag-franchised-agents and find an agency that will abide by the rules and not take advantage of you! I have been in the business for over 15 years and I have NEVER had to fight with my talent agency to get paid for work I performed! And it's pretty gross that they charge ALL talent 15% commission and also charge the client 20% commission/booking fees. They are ONLY supposed to get what the union allows but they also act as a management company and surely this is how they are able to get away with that, because managers can charge any amount for commission, but you do not need a manager unless you have a career to manage...i.e you are Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt, not a newbie to the industry!!!!!! I didn't mind paying the 15% because I thought they were this bad-a*s agency that had GREAT connections and would in fact help manage my career, but intead they took advangtage of me and failed to pay me for work I did!

Calliope held the funds because of its misunderstanding concerning a judgment against me, but now understands that although there is a judgment against me, no garnishment order has been issued, so the original complaint should be removed. I have requested 3 times for this to be removed! But no one from RipOff report will respond or remove this report! I have included the documents regarding the judgement and request for assets and the handwritten agreement.

 

Please be advised that I am unaware of how much involvement Kristi had with Texas Licensing, I simply cut and paste that info. without taking out notes stated by another party. Also my use of the word fraud is based off www.dictionary.com (breach of confidene).
