Calypso Cay Ressorts Suspicious Call From AKA: John Sparks & Sharlene Jones Tried to get credit card number over the phone for charge of $598.00 Kissimee Florida

I received a phone call this morning from number 1-802-681-4148 claiming that I was the winner of a grand prize. She told me to write her name down: Sharlene Jones. She was very difficult to understand over the phone. She had an extremely thick accent and mumbled a lot. She told me that I won a trip to Florida for 14 days and 13 nights. The first 7 days were to be held in Orlando, the next 4 days in Daytona and the last 3 days in Bahamas. She gave me a phone number to contact (the actual 1-800 number for the Calypso Ressort) to later make my booking. She then wanted my credit card number over the phone so that she can charge $598 to it. When I did not want to give her my card number, she transferred me to a man name John Sparks. He kept reassuring me that giving a card number over the phone is very secure. He said that he would leave me with capable and legal personnel. Everything would be tape recorded too!

I told him that I had a joint account with my Husband and that I cannot charge this kind of amount on my card without his knowledge or consent. Instead, I told him to send me the winning package and I will decide once I read all the information. I insisted, again, that I could not give him my card number over the phone.

He said he would call me back to see if I change my mind. Of course, they never called back. Guess what? The 1-800 number they called from is disconnected. When I googled Calypso Cay and I saw the ripoff report, I got chills down my spine.
