CAMCO - Capital Acquisitions And Management Company Trying to re-collect on a closed debt settled 7 years ago. Rockford Illinois

I too am being fraudently harrassed by this company and would like to join others in a coordinated approach to notifying AG's of their scam, charging them with identity theft and getting press and media attention.

How can we organize ourselves?

I too have been contacted by Camco (see my report on this web site, #51, filed on 12/18/2003 from Kansas City, Mo.) I have also contact my local TV station who have stated they have received several complaints against Camco. They are airing a segment on Monday 1/19/04 to inform the public of their rights when a "Collection Agency" contacts you. Although Camco refuses to admit they are in fact a "Collection Agency" that's exactly what they are, and by law must follow the Federal Laws that pertains to collection agency's. I have also contacted the office of Lisa Madigan, Illinois Attorney General, and have learned of 324 formal complaints filed with that office against Camco. The only way to get these scum bags shut down, and either incarcerated or fined, (preferably both), is to keep filing those complaints with the Attorney Generals Office, and contacting your local law enforcement and media. This web site does not allow e-mails address's or contact information (understandably) however if anyone has any other ideas or comments, please leave a report/rebuttal on this complaint, or my original complaint #51 on this site.

We went through all of that too. they even cussed at my husband over the phone telling him he should pay his f@#@ing debts. Ours was a supposed debt fron 1990. Well I called our local television troubleshooter who in turn came out to out house and did an on camera interview with us. It aired on our local television station here in Ohio just last month. We also filed with the BBB and the FTC and everybody else we could. We just received a letter from the BBB stating that Camco has since erased anything to do with us and or our accounts. Let me know what you find out about that other thing too .I will look into myself also.
