CAMCO Capital Acquisitions & Management Co. Deceptive practices, violations of privacy, harrassment, possible scams deceptive company Rockford Illinois

This is collection agency that alleges I owe them money, $7,600, for unpaid credit card bills dating back over 16 years ago. I have insisted that the charges are not mine but the company's representative, Mr. Montana, continues to harass me and my mom by calling my Mother's phone number. They have my social security number and have shared this information with other collection agency's (ie. The Credit Store) who also called stating I owe over $10,000.

Apparently CAMCO shares personal information (e.g. phone numbers, social security numbers, etc) with other collection agencies. I responded to a letter from the collection agency's attorney telling them the loan is not mine and requesting that they provide evidence to validate their claim. They will not provide this.

On top of this, I am also getting calls from other collection agencies for other individuals have the same last name.

I have excellent credit, according to my credit reports, and there are no references to their alleged debt.

I also suspect I am being harrassed by being sent emails with my originating email address that contain viruses. This practice is known as "spoofing" and I trying to identify the offending sender. The reason I suspect them is that they they started occuring about the same time.
