Camden Vineyard requires a 60 day notice, not to mention they count their months on a "fixed number of days" ending a 15 month lease (moved in 11/1/2015) on 2/12/2017, is almost impossible finding a new place to live that will hold a unit 60 days, let alone needing it to be available mid month. Therefore you end up over lapping in two locations, or you're stuck paying a month to month rate which is more than $1000 more than your original rent for the remainder of the month. A notice of inspection was requested, when office staff arrived to inspect unannounced I called the office and questioned the notice, she insisted one was provided. After being persistant she agreed to "investigate" in which it was determined that one was never presented. I want to stress the fact that tenants should accompany staff on the final walk through of the unit (that however won't stop them from sending a ridiculous bill). During this walk through the employee with office staff began snatching the carpet up from ground and taking pictures underneath! Can you believe this? You're being held accountable for what is underneath the carpet! Please refer to the photo left by a previous Yelper of the the carpet installer cutting the carpet in the dirty parking lot! I immediately contacted the office regarding this method and the staff member began to speak about proration and etc. Needless to say I received a bill for $1500 for brand new carpet on a Camden Vineyard letter head, NOT a bill for who actually provided the carpet. I also received a carpet cleaning bill as well as paint, and ONE blind for $42 that all pre date my move. Did I mention that the leasing agent that did the original walk through BROKE the living blinds and it's noted on the inspection paperwork? Lies, lies, lies! That's all I've received from leasing office since I've received this bill (which came to the incorrect address) GABBY the office manager said invoices are "generic", then she said they are vendor invoices. She then said since I moved before 60 notice was I'm responsible for the days the unit was vacant (I expected that) UNTIL she said the unit had been vacant until what they believe is the 60th day-- okay. I called Steven the assistant manager on 2/8/2017 about possibly renewing my lease. Guess what Steven said? "THE UNIT HAS BEEN LEASED!" Do you hear that Gabby? LEASED! So why did you lie? She is also stating that Jerry (the person who PROFITS from replacing the carpet) says there was an animal in there, and there are pee stains under the carpet. I've never owned a pet a day in my life, why? Bc I'm allergic to pet dander!!! Additionally I was pregnant majority of my tenancy, therefore being around pets was completely out of the question!!! But Gabby, who never seen the unit and who also profits says there were pets in there. I refuse to allow this company to run over me, I refuse to allow this leasing manager to tell me what I've done. Sorry Gabby, I'm not buying what you're selling. Believe that.
