This company showed me a sony viso and a dell laptop to choose from. the dell was supposed to have better specifications. I was a little unsure about buying a computer overseas so i got the salesman to boot the computer up and prove the specs were correct. The unit was booted off a USB Stick which I was told had Linux on it so the computer would not go through its registration boot up routine. It showed the system to have a due core 2.1 G processor, full HD monitor, WEBCAM, 350 gig HDD, 4 gig RAM, seperate video card with 1 Gig of RAM and came with a 1 year in house international warranty and a 2 year McAffee licence. When we got home and tried to register it we found it was not the computer we had paid for and was in fact a computer of substantially less specifications at an inflated price to what we could by it for retail in australia. The unit we have has only a 2 gig processor, the monitor is not full HD, the hard Drive is only 250 Gig there is no separate video card and it shares the onboard RAM. The warranty is not in house and the McAffee licence is only 30 days not two years. Dell have advised me to contact the reseller but supprisingly they will not respond to attempts to contact them via the details they have supplied on their no refunds or exchanges receipt. Additionally, we questioned them as to why they were not supplying us with a full specification receipt instead of the till slip. now we know why!!
