Canada Computers -Barrie Ont. sold me a laptop that was supposed to be Touchscreen but WASN"T and they won't accept it back and give me a refund on my Visa Barrie Ontario

I am 76 nearly 77 yrs old and wanted to get a new laptop to learn now while I can. I saw a laptop in the store which had literature in the box with it saying it was touchscreen.

  WOW that would really be a big help to me as I get older. So I bought it (on my Visa) and asked that it be setup by the service dept.  But when I got it home and opened it up it was NOT touchscreen...so I took it back. Mike in Service said the brochure was not for that laptop!!!!

So I said well that's the only reason I bought it ........cause now sometimes I can't remember stuff and touchscreen would be way easier for me than having to remember what keys or combination of keys have to be pressed together sometimes to open parts of the program...even to read my email.

Mike said he can't take it back!!!!!!!

WHAT??????  I never even opened one screen on it.  I simply didn't know what keys to press to open any acreen on it.

How is it my fault that the laptop is not what the literature said it was??????Isn't that one of the things staff are supposed to do?  Check stuff like that between customers? 

They refuse to take it back so here it sits in its box on the floor in my dining room TOTALLY UNUSED and they refuse to accept it back and give me back my money. Its only the setup fee that would be cash...the laptop itself would be a credit to my Visa.

The laptop was $786.50 which I charged to my Visa,  plus SETUP $90.39 which I paid from my bank acc't.

Old Age Pension is my source of income...so as you can see thats about 1 1/2 months pension. If it worked as represented by the printed material in the box...I would be happy. But refusing to take back a product that did not work as represented is unfair business practices in my books.
