Candi Jerkins MyEyeCandi StyledandSimplified BrandCandi Candi Jerkins took $1050.00 from me and has not done any work and does not respond to e-mails Destin Florida

I purchased a "Complete Small Business Suite - Custom Logo - Custom Website - Brand Identity - Website - Media Kit - Business Launch - Small Business" from Candi Jerkins on Etsy, on her store named BrandCandi although I believe she now goes by StyledandSimplified. 

I made a purchase on December 22. 

Candi Jerkins BrandCandi StyledandSimplified clearly states in the policy that:

After purchasing this listing, you will receive a questionnaire to help us establish a clear vision for your new brand. I will invite you to pin, along with me, images that reflect the direction you'd like your new brand to take to a custom Pinterest board. Within 7-14 business days, you will receive your custom branding board with three logo options based on your questionnaire, inspiration board and exchanged emails.

On January 1st, I received this message:

I have your mood board/color palette (round 1) almost complete and will email it over to you soon for your review. Then we will be starting the concepts for your logo. Perhaps we can create a landing page for the website.

On January 18th, I sent her an e-mail asking her where we were at with the project. However, I understand that she may have been behind (she didn't say she was, in fact, she was saying she had bookings available!) but I was patient and waited. 

On January 22nd, I asked her for a refund, solely based on the fact that there was no communication whatsoever from her. A simple, "I'm behind on work" would have sufficed. However, a month had passed (her policy said 7-14 business days) and I saw not even a "mood board" from her. 

On February 3rd, I sent her a tweet asking her what was up. i get a reply in my e-mail saying she had sent the work and a "forwarded" e-mail. Here's the thing... I got nothing in my inbox and nothing in my junk folder (I ran a search). I was convinced that she was being dishonest and changed the dates on the "forwarded email" but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Furthermore, I had bought her service through etsy and had been messaging her through that. I found it strange she suddenly "switched to email" where her "mood board" *magically* didn't send to me. 

But, I am highly suspicious that Candi Jerkins did this because you can't change the date on an Etsy message that way you can do it on a "forwarded email". 

Today is March 8th. We have had NOTHING done. I sent her a tweet again asking her what was up and no reply. However, i saw that she was busy setting up a new twitter account, opening a new website, and opening a new instagram called StyledandSimplified. 

Hell, she posted up an image saying, "I close deals in heels." At this point, I am LIVID that has been ignoring me and asked her- "Don't you mean you steal in heels?" Within minutes, she blocked me from instagram and twitter. Clearly, Candi Jerkins was online and deliberately ignoring my messsages, and keeping my money. $1050 is not small change. 

Luckily, Etsy is taking a look at the matter.

I just want to warn anyone else from working with Candi Jerkins aka meeyecandi aka brandcandi aka styledandsymplified

I should have thought it was weird that she goes by so many handles.. maybe she has done this to others before and just changes her business name every once in a while to dodge people. Either way, be warned. I also have screenshots of all communication and lack of communication if anyone is interested. I also have a copy of her original policy, in case Candi Jerkins tries to change it.
